Our January update sees new updates to improve how you can use our products together to get a clearer overview of your fleet.

Rollout of Assist Checks and Defects in Tracking

Our Plus customers will begin to see the latest status of thier RAM Assist Daily Vehicle Checks and Defects within the RAM Tracking grid. Once you have this feature enabled on your account you can click on the traffic light to see a summary of the check and quickly link to see more data in RAM Assist.

Rollout of live Streaming Camera in RAM Tracking

If you have RAM Live cameras installed in your vehicles you will begin to see the details of these camera in the grid in the Tracking web app. You will be able to click a camera icon in the grid to see the details from your vehicle and start live streaming. If you need more details, you can then jump into RAM Live.

Temperature Alerts

You can now purchase temperature sensors to go with compatible trackers and set up temperature alerts to be notified when a temperature thresholds has been breached. Contact our Sales team via the chat function to find out more.

GeoFences - improved editing

Our new feature allows you to convert a circle geofence into a polygon so you can edit it further than you could. Previously, when you converted User Locations to Geofences to share with the rest of your organisation they were created as circles and you were only able to edit the circle size and location but now you can customise them to your requirements.

In case you missed it previously here's a quick recap of the our new Geofence feature and why you should use them over User Locations:

• Geofences are shared across the whole account and are the same for everyone - if you edit a Geofence everyone else will get the same update.
• Reporting is faster for Geofences than User Locations.

Do bear in mind however that Geofences aren't historical; they only appear in reports for events that occurred after the geofence was set up.

Our latest updates include changes to add the new London ULEZ, making it easier to edit vehicle registrations in Tracking and to our printing solution in RAM Assist. Continue reading for more details on each of these changes.

Updated London ULEZ

From the 29th August, the expanded ULEZ will come into effect and cover almost all roads inside the M25 with the aim of improving air quality within the capital. Vehicles that don't meet the emissions criteria will be charged £12.50 per day

Editing vehicle registrations in Tracking

We've added an icon in the grid on RAM Tracking that provides detailed instructions on how to edit registrations for the vehicles in your fleets. You can also use the same screen to add an alias for a vehicle to help you quickly identify your vehicles.

PDF Printing & Custom Logos for RAM Assist

We have improved printing in RAM Assist so that reports now print as a PDF to improve performance and maintain formatting. It will also be possible to include a custom logo shortly to customise the report output with your business brand

Our latest updates include changes to allow admin users to edit vehicle groups, the new Glasgow ULEZ that went live this month and improved group reports so you can get all your vehicle data in a single file. Continue reading for more details on each of these changes.

Editing Vehicle Groups

From the top menu select Vehicles -> Vehicle Groups. This will then open the new section where you can add and edit groups and move vehicles between the different groups on your account. Groups are then visible in the grid below the map and within the reporting screens to enable you to quickly identify your vehicles.

Glasgow ULEZ

The new ULEZ in Glasgow has gone live this month. You can run reports on Zone In/Out activity to ensure you pay any fees and you can set up email and app alerts via the Event Alerts menu option

Group Report Improvements

In History Reports it is now possible to consolidate Travel, Private, Business and Stop reports into a single file for all vehicles rather than getting multiple files. Simply check the new checkbox and run the report as usual

We've got a few new updates to the RAM Tracking system:

We've added several features that you can take advantage of:

• When using the API, driver details are now visible! Rather than get details of the vehicle that the driver is in, you can get information on the driver instead. Ideal for those that are using multi-drivers in vehicles.
• Added a satellite fix icon into the RAM Tracking mobile app, this will show those in the head office if certain vehicles are not currently receiving signal. This can really help if the tracking seems to be off (for example, when you're in a tunnel), you understand that it is due to the signal rather than the software.
• We have also added a "What's New" to the dropdown so you can quickly and easily see our latest news and updates. This is to help you keep track of any significant changes and the latest news.

We are pleased to have brought these useful features to the RAM Tracking software to increase our functionality.

We've made a few changes to Job Assist over the last few weeks to make it more accessible for our Job Assist users.

Job Assist offers a couple of different new features:

1. Postcodes and phone numbers are now clickable within the mobile app. Put in simple terms: you can now click to dial from within the Job Assist mobile app.

2. When scheduling a job within the mobile app you can now set the job length over multiple days which falls in line with the web version.

We have taken steps to make our scheduled reports even better!

We have made it so you can select multiple vehicles at once - this could be selecting all vehicles or alternatively, selecting individual vehicles.

We have made this change to make your reporting much easier to complete!

We've been hard at work updating how we notify users of important things, we're thrilled to announce our newest User Notification feature 🙌.

We've added an easy-to-access dropdown menu in the top navigation of the system, which will allow you to quickly view and manage any alerts that pertain to your vehicles. In the first phase, user notifications will only match what you have email alerts set up on.

We are excited to announce a powerful new feature for our vehicle tracking system - webhooks. With this feature, you can now automate tasks and trigger actions in other systems based on events happening in RAM Tracking, in real time 🎉.

Here are some examples of what you can do with webhooks:

• Send a notification to a customer when their vehicle arrives at a specific location
• Update a customer's account balance when a delivery is completed
• Send an alert to a maintenance team when a vehicle goes over a specific speed limit
• Sending a notification to a customer when their vehicle arrives at a specific location, such as a warehouse or delivery destination.
• Automatically updating a customer's account balance when a delivery is completed, by using webhooks to trigger an API call to a billing system.
• Sending an alert to a maintenance team when a vehicle goes over a specific speed limit, to help prevent wear and tear on the vehicle.
• Sending a notification to a security team when a vehicle enters a restricted area, such as a gated community or a secure facility.
• Automatically sending an invoice to a customer when a vehicle has completed a delivery, by using webhooks to trigger an API call to an invoicing system.

To start using webhooks, you will need to set up a webhook endpoint, configure the webhook in your tracking system, and write code to process the webhook payload. Once you have set everything up, you can test the webhook to make sure it is working as expected.

Geofences have been updated 🙌.

We've recently added the ability to use preloaded geofences for Congestion Zones & ULEZ's around the country, which will include at launch:

• Ontario 407 Toll Road (Canada)
• Dartford Crossing
• London Congestion Zone & ULEZ
• Birmingham CAZ
• Bath CAZ
• Portsmouth LEZ
• Oxford LEZ
• M6 Toll

We'll keep adding new congestion and ULEZ zones as they become available but if you think we've missed one please get in touch.

You can run reports on Congestion Zone activity for your fleet via the History Reports section of the RAM Tracking product.
